The Energy Commission consists of the Chairman, the Chief Executive Officer, three members representing the government and not more than six other members with vast knowledge and experience in matters relating to finance, engineering, business or administration or other relevant areas. The members of the Commission are appointed by the Minister in charge of energy.
The board representations of the Commission members will enhance the credibility of the Energy Commission and safeguard the interest of its stakeholders.

Dato' Mohamad Razif bin Haji Abd MubinDato’ Mohamad Razif bin Abd Mubin is currently the Deputy Secretary General (Energy), Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Malaysia. He began his career as civil servant in 1995 and brings with him a wealth of experience in administrative and leadership roles in various Government segments and held key positions in other Ministries, such as: Assistant Secretary in Ministry of Land and Cooperative Development; Representative of Malaysia to the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC), Tokyo; Principal Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Communications and Multimedia; Counselor at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations, New York; Deputy Director at Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU); Director of the Environment and Natural Resources Economic Section in Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia; and most recently, as Senior Deputy Director at Organizational Development Division Public Service Department, Malaysia (BPO, JPA).

Dato' Anis Rizana binti Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd ZainuddinDato' Anis Rizana binti Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd Zainuddin graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a Master of Business Administration (Finance). She graduated from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, United States of America (USA) for her Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) in 1991. She obtained her Diploma in Public Administration from IINTAN, Bukit Kiara in 1995 and Diploma in Investment Analysis from MARA Institute of Technology in 1990. She has also attended the Advanced Leadership Management Programme at INTAN Bukit Kiara in 2010, Advanced Leadership Development Programme at Razak School of Government in 2011 and Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA in 2011. Dato' Anis Rizana started her career in early 1993 serving the private sector in the stockbroking firms and manufacturing industry before joining the public sector in 1994. She was appointed as the Senior Private Secretary to the Minister of Finance in 1999. She was serving as the Principal Assistant Secretary for few divisions under the Ministry of Finance such as the Finance Division; MOF (Inc.), Privatisation and Coordination Division; Loan Management and Finance Policy Division; Economics and International Division and Budget Management Division. In 2008, she was appointed as the Deputy Under Secretary at the Investment, MOF (Inc.) and Privatization Division and subsequently after her two year stint at Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad as the General Manager, Corporate Planning under the Cross Fertilization Programme (Khazanah Nasional Berhad/Public Service Department), served as the Head of Economic Stimulus Secretariat Unit, Ministry of Finance. In 2012, she was appointed as the Deputy Under Secretary, Remuneration Policy, Public Money, and Management Services Division. Before that in 2009, she was also appointed as a Special Function Officer to the Chief Secretary of the Government under the Prime Minister’s Department. Under the Integrity and Governance Division (NKRA Against Corruption) in 2014, Dato' Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd Zainuddin served as the Director for the division for a year before she moved to be the Senior Research Fellow, later assume the responsibility as the Head Of Cluster for Development and Policy Research at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) Bukit Kiara. Subsequently in 2018, she was appointed as the Head of Cluster for the Economics and Public Finance Cluster in INTAN. She was later on promoted as the Deputy Secretary General (Operations) for the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development in 2019 before she is now appointed as the Deputy Secretary General (Investment) under the Ministry of Finance. She received the Golden Key National Honor Society Award from Western Michigan University in 1992 for her excellent academic achievements. She was also the top scorer for JUSA Advanced Leadership Management Programme in 2010 at INTAN Bukit Kiara. In 2019, she was awarded the Iron Lady Award by Road Safety Marshal Club for her efforts and contributions in empowering women, society and humanity. Tuan Mohd Sukri bin Mat JusohTuan Mohd. Sukri bin Mat Jusoh is currently the Director for Energy Division of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Prime Minister’s Department since December 2021. He graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Economic and Management from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Master Degree of Political Science from Meiji University in Tokyo. He also holds a Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN). Tuan Mohd Sukri is responsible in formulating the overall planning for energy sector including oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy and energy efficiency initiative. He is also involved in the formulation of the New Energy Policy 2022-2040 and exploring new energy development such as hydrogen technology, carbon capture and storage and promoting electric vehicle utilisation. Tuan Mohd Sukri bin Mat Jusoh was appointed as a Member of the Energy Commission on 1 February 2022.

Dato' Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib bin Dawood (Chief Executive Officer)Dato' Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib bin Dawood graduated with a BTEC National Diploma in Engineering in 1991 from the Coventry Technical College followed by an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom in 1994. He was then awarded his Master of Science in Power Electronic Engineering from the University of Manitoba in Canada in 1996. Dato' Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib started his early career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad Engineers Sdn. Bhd., and has more than 20 years of professional experience, having worked for both Malaysian and Australian national power utilities, independent power producers, TNSP and as a consultant for renewable energy. During his career highlights, he had held many roles such as a construction engineer, project manager, technical advisor, systems planning engineer and a power system study specialist. From October 2012 to August 2017, he was the Head of Electricity Market Operations with the Energy Commission before assigned by the Prime Minister’s Department to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation from 2017 to 2018. On 9 April 2018, Dato' Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Energy Commission. On 2 April 2019, he was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer responsible for the overall administration and management of the functions of the Energy Commission. Dato' Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib bin Dawood was appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission effective 1 August 2019. |
