f) Sufficient knowledge of first aid, resuscitation and treatment of electric shock.

2.  Basic Knowledge on Electricity

a) Introduction to basics on voltage, current, resistance, power, induction, capacitance, frequency and other matters related with electricity.
b) Ohm’s law.
c) Serial and parallel connection.
d) Power formula.
e) Electricity supply system and voltage rate.

3.  Cable 

a) Types of cable, colour codes and usage.
b) Selection of correct cable:-
     - Current carrying capacity;
     - Calculation of voltage drop;
     - Diversity factors; and
     - Correction factors.
c) Types of cable termination.

4.  Wiring

Wiring system:-
  a) Surface, conceal, conduit, trunking wiring and related matters;
  b) Factors for selection of wiring system;
  c) Types and sizes of conduit/trunking; and
  d) Clearence factor.

5.  Light circuit

a) One-way, two way and intermediate switch.
b) Power circuit.
c) Radius, coil and spur.
d) Air conditioner socket.
e) Water heater socket.
f) Isolator.

6.  Testing Equipment and Testing

 a) Types of test sequence:
      - Polarity;
      - Continuity;
      - Insulation;
      - Earthing; and
      - Other related test sequence.
 
b) Types of testing equipment:
     - Insulation Tester;
     - Earth Resistance Tester;
     - Multimeter;
     - Ring Main Tester;

a) Devices to prevent electrical fault:
       i)   Protection devices and usage;
       ii)  Types of fuse, rating, handling and testing;
      iii)  Types of main switch, current rating and fuse rating;
      iv)  Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB), handling, current rating and testing;
       v)  Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB), handling, current rating and testing;

        b) Knowledge on reading and drawing of schematic diagrams and electrical layout.
        c) Standard colour codes for telephone, gas, water and fire extinguisher.
        d) Load calculation.
