Is Energy Gets Rm18 Mln Contract From Tenaga Nasional KUALA KRAI, May 10  -- IS Energy Sdn Bhd has received a contract worth RM18 million from Tenaga Nasional Bhd to provide elecricity supply to about 10,000 households in the Kuala Krai district here. The company will develop an area of 6.4 hectares for its Sungai Rek mini-hydro power project based on the "run off river" concept which does not require a dam, chairman Datuk Ismail Ahmad told Bernama on Saturday.   Details...



Sabah Government To Propose New Location For Coal-fired Power Plant Soon KOTA KINABALU, May 10 -- The Sabah state government will inform Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) soon on a proposed location for the coal-fired power plant in the state's east coast, Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor said today. After his meeting with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman earlier this week, Shaziman said the state government agreed to the need for the power plant to cater to the electricity demand in the east coast, but was adamant the previous proposed location in Silam, Lahad Datu, was no longer appropriate.   Details...
