Does this Directive apply to all categories of buildings, whether new or existing?

This Directive applies to all categories of buildings stated in items 10 to 12, regardless of whether the building is new or existing.

For building categories not stated, the application of this Directive will be determined by ST from time to time.

Is the use of non-conventional lightning protection systems such as Early Steamer Emission (ESE), Charge Transfer System (CTS), and others permitted? If a building category is not listed, does this mean that building does not need to comply with this Directive?
