Lightning Protection System
Does this Directive apply if a residential building is completed in 2020 while Planning Permission (KM) was obtained before this Directive was issued?
This Directive will apply. As stated in Answer 3, this Directive applies to all categories of buildings stated in items 10 to 12, regardless of whether the building is new or existing.
For example, if the building is expected to be completed in April 2021, then for the period before April 2021 the building is under construction. Referring to item 11 of the Directive, this Directive comes into force on 1 January 2021.
Nevertheless, even though this compliance Directive is in force, LPS installation remains subject to the Risk Assessment report as explained in Answer 4.
