What is an Energy Intensity Label, and why is it required under the EECA 2024?
An Energy Intensity Label indicates the energy performance of a building, including its energy intensity and star rating. Under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024 (EECA 2024), buildings are required to obtain and display this label to promote transparency, encourage energy efficiency, and enable benchmarking of building performance. The label must be applied for through the Commission and displayed in a conspicuous location within the building.
