Who may be appointed to carry out the Risk Assessment, design, supervision and completion, testing, and maintenance of the LPS?

| 1. Risk Assessment |
Any person with experience and expertise in carrying out a Risk Assessment. The Risk Assessment report must be endorsed by a Professional Engineer in electrical or electronic engineering registered with the Board of Engineers under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967. |
| 2. Design |
Any person with experience and expertise in carrying out LPS design. The design must be endorsed by a Professional Engineer in electrical or electronic engineering registered with the Board of Engineers under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967. |
| 3. Supervision and Completion of Installation |
Any work relating to LPS installation in an installation,
and upon completion of the installation, the Wireman must certify the Certificate of Supervision and Completion (Form G, Electricity Regulations 1994). For the purposes stated in items 3.1 and 3.2, the Wireman concerned must be employed full-time by an Electrical Contractor or a Private Wiring Unit. |
| 4. Testing |
Upon completion of LPS installation work for an installation,
who is authorised to test the installation, and must certify the Certificate of Test (Form H, Electricity Regulations 1994). For the purposes stated in items 4.1 and 4.2, the Wireman concerned must be employed full-time by an Electrical Contractor or a Private Wiring Unit. |
| 5. Maintenance |
A Chargeman of at least Category A0 (Low Voltage System Category, excluding Overhead Lines and Generating Stations) |
